Restorative bio-lipid serum for skin that's lost its quiet glow.
A deep-gold oil, anhydrous and concentrated. It pours like silk between the palms, carries the soft signature of neroli and sandalwood, and disappears into skin that has been waiting for it. This is not a serum that promises overnight reinvention. It is a quiet, daily act of replenishment — the moment in the ritual when the lipids and vitality the skin has lost are returned to it, drop by drop, in the language the skin already speaks.
WHAT IT IS — THE BIO-INTELLIGENT REASONING
As estrogen recedes, the skin's lipid economy contracts. Sebum production slows. Essential fatty acids — the ones the skin uses to build its own barrier — become harder to retain. The Bio-Lipid Concentrate is engineered to close that gap. A 100% anhydrous, EcoCert-aligned oils built around 23% Olive Squalane, 20% Kalahari Melon Seed Oil, and a botanical EFA (essential fatty acid) network of Pomegranate, Black currant, Camellia, Marula, Baobab, and Meadow-foam oils carrying the same M-Veil active triad as the Resilience Balm: 1% Bakuchiol, 0.4% bio-active CoQ10, and a 5% Adaptogenic Mushroom Complex (Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, Cordyceps), with 0.6% Sea Buckthorn for carotenoid antioxidant support.

Dryness that returns within hours of moisturizing — a sign of lipid loss, not just dehydration
-
Skin that has lost its quiet glow and feels less elastic, less resilient, less itself
-
Anyone moving from a multi-step actives routine to a simpler, smarter, lipid-led routine

THE RITUAL
HOW TO USE
-
Press 3–5 drops into clean palms. Warm between hands until the oil takes the temperature of skin.
-
Press — never rub — into the face, neck, and décolleté. Linger over the cheekbones, the perioral border, and the outer eye where lipid loss shows up first.
-
Inhale. Neroli at the top, sandalwood at the base. The aromatic profile is part of the formulation — not an afterthought.
-
Follow with the Intensive Vitality Cream (evening) or sunscreen (morning). For very fragile areas, finish with a glide of the Resilience Balm.
WHEN TO USE
Morning and evening. On clean, slightly damp skin so the oil can press in evenly. Especially restorative on dry, weather-stressed, or post-flight skin.
PAIRS WELL WITH
-
Myco-Biome Cleanse — the prebiotic barrier wash that opens the ritual without stripping the lipids the Concentrate replenishes.
-
Intensive Vitality Cream — apply the cream over the oil to lock the lipid replenishment behind a ceramide-rich seal.
-
Resilience Balm — finish with a targeted glide on the perioral border, outer eye, and cheekbones for concentrated barrier rescue.
Botanical EFA Network — Kalahari Melon, Pomegranate, Black Currant, Camellia, Marula, Baobab, Meadowfoam
Seven precious botanical seed oils, layered in for a complete fatty-acid signature: 20% Kalahari Melon for linoleic / omega-6; Pomegranate for punicic acid; Black currant for one of the richest plant sources of GLA; Camellia for oleic-acid penetration; Marula for antioxidants and slip; Baobab for palmitic-acid barrier protection; Meadow-foam for oxidative stability. Together they replenish the lipids hormonally transitioning skin loses faster than it can replace.

Questions we welcome.
How is this different from a face oil?
A traditional face oil is typically a simple blend designed for surface hydration. The Bio-Lipid Concentrate is a precision-formulated lipid serum — ten cold-pressed seed oils chosen to mirror the skin's own lipid profile, plus active botanicals (bakuchiol, CoQ10, 4 adaptogenic mushrooms) that work below the surface to support how skin looks and feels over time. It absorbs faster, layers better, and does more than a face oil alone.
Can I use this with my retinol?
Bakuchiol is the plant-based retinol alternative — so most people choose to use the concentrate instead of retinol, not alongside it. If you're already on a prescription retinoid (tretinoin, adapalene), you can alternate evenings: retinoid one night, Bio-Lipid Concentrate the next. Always consult your dermatologist when adjusting a prescription routine.
How is this different from a vitamin C serum?
The Bio-Lipid Concentrate is an anhydrous (water-free) antioxidant serum that delivers lipid-soluble actives — CoQ10, bakuchiol, tocopherol, and adaptogenic mushrooms — to defend against oxidative stress while replenishing the skin's lipid barrier. A Vitamin C serum is typically a water-based formula delivering a single water-soluble antioxidant; the Bio-Lipid Concentrate offers a broader spectrum of fat-soluble antioxidants that reach where Vitamin C can't.
How long does 1 bottle last?
With 2–3 drops per application, once or twice daily, a 30 mL bottle typically lasts 2–3 months. The Miron glass bottle is designed to protect the active botanicals from light degradation, so the formula stays potent from first drop to last.
Will it make my skin oily or break me out?
The concentrate is formulated with non-comedogenic oils and olive and sugarcane-derived squalane that absorb cleanly without clogging pores. Most users find it leaves a satin, dewy finish. That said, every complexion is unique. If you're acne-prone, start with 2 drops every other evening and build from there.
Does the scent fade?
Yes — the neroli and sandalwood essential oils are designed to be a fleeting sensory experience during application. Within minutes of absorption, the scent settles into a subtle skin note rather than a lingering fragrance.
Is it safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding?
The concentrate contains bakuchiol, which is often chosen as a pregnancy-friendly alternative to retinol, and essential oils (neroli, sandalwood) at fragrance-level concentrations. However, individual circumstances vary — always consult your healthcare provider before using new skincare products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Where is it made?
Formulated and bottled in Victoria, BC, Canada. Cold-pressed seed oils are sourced from sustainable suppliers across Africa, the Mediterranean, and North America. Sandalwood is sustainably harvested from certified plantations in New Caledonia.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Skin is personal, and not every formula suits every face. Reach out to hello@philogeni.com — we'll do our best to make it right.
Why Miron Glass?
Miron violet glass filters out the visible light spectrum that degrades sensitive botanicals — particularly bakuchiol, CoQ10, and the cold-pressed seed oils. It's a small commitment to potency: the formula you apply on day 90 should be as effective as the one you applied on day 1.
What's the shelf life?
Unopened: 24 months from manufacture date. Once opened: 12 months (indicated by the 12M symbol on the packaging). Store below 30 °C, away from direct sunlight.
