Why estrogen decline hits your skin barrier so directly
Skin is an estrogen-responsive organ. Estrogen receptors sit on your keratinocytes (surface skin cells), your dermal fibroblasts (the cells that build collagen and hyaluronic acid), and even your skin's blood vessels.
