A twist-up face balm stick for the driest places on perimenopausal and menopausal skin: around the mouth, outer eye, cheekbones and lips. Squalane, mango butter and plant waxes condition dry patches and seal in moisture, with the same actives as the M-Veil™ Antioxidant Serum: vitamins C and E, CoQ10, bakuchiol and four mushroom extracts.

One stick, several jobs: night balm, daytime top-up, lip balm and under-eye primer. Waterless and fragrance-free, for sensitive skin. 15 g, about a 60-day supply.

Benefits

  • Conditions dry, rough-feeling patches and softens the look of fine lines around the mouth, with squalane and plant oils.
  • Seals in moisture where skin feels driest, with mango butter and plant waxes.
  • Comforts dry, sensitive skin and helps it look calm, with four mushroom extracts (Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps and Maitake).
  • Smoother, softer-looking skin with the antioxidants of the M-Veil™ Complex and bakuchiol, a plant-derived ingredient gentle enough for sensitive skin.

How to use

Twist up a few millimetres. As the last step at night, glide it over clean, dry skin, alone or over the serum, lingering on the driest areas. Through the day, use it as a top-up over makeup or on the lips. Keep it away from the eyes themselves. Massage it in with fingertips or the copper gua sha.

Using both? The Resilience Reset Duo pairs the serum and balm in one 60-day supply.

Why a balm stick

This is not a cream. It is a reserve you keep close for the hours, days and seasons when dry skin asks for more.

As estrogen declines, skin tends to feel drier, and certain places feel it first: the seam where lip meets skin, the high curve of the cheek, the jawline, the spaces where expression and exposure meet. Dryness is not a single wave. It is a topography.

A lotion covers the whole face at one concentration. A balm stick lets you give more to the places that need it, without overloading the rest.

The balm is a solid serum in stick form. Squalane, marula and meadowfoam oils, mango butter, and sunflower and rice bran waxes make a rich base that melts at skin temperature. Rosemary leaf extract keeps the formula's own oils fresh, and the opaque stick shields the formula from light, just as the serum's violet glass does.

Who it's for

  • Skin in perimenopause, menopause and beyond that runs dry in patches
  • Anyone whose moisturizer no longer lasts to the end of the day
  • Sensitive skin that wants a fragrance-free balm that needs no preservatives
  • Travellers, hikers, swimmers and anyone facing a cold-climate winter, when moisture goes faster than skin can replace it

Light and Easy Support

I've been using the balm for a few weeks and my favourite things so far are: the ease of use, fragrance free composition, and a lovely light feel that stays put and leaves me with a gentle glow where applied - even the next morning after use. Great travel size and function; a solid, smooth application with no liquids that can spill. Have been using after long days outside and love the nourishing feel.

Thanks for your wonderful feedback Michele - I am so grateful that you love the balm!

IIDisclosed Formulation

Every active named, every dose disclosed.

No proprietary blends, no fairy dusting. The percentage beside each name is the percentage in the bottle.

Vitamin CTetrahexyldecyl AscorbateFor brighter, more even-looking skin2.0%
Chemical structure of Vitamin C
The oil-soluble form of vitamin C. L-ascorbic acid needs a low-pH water phase and begins oxidising the day the bottle is opened; THDA sits stably in an anhydrous oil and stays that way.
Attaching four fatty-acid chains to ascorbic acid makes it oil-soluble, so it travels with the rest of the formula instead of fighting it. At 2.0% it is the serum's largest single active, and the reason an anhydrous oil can carry vitamin C at all.
In the formula
A stable, oil-soluble form of vitamin C that helps skin look brighter and more even, without the low pH that makes water-based vitamin C sting.
Why we chose it
Chosen over L-ascorbic acid for stability: it stays stable in a waterless formula instead of oxidising once the product is opened.
ReishiGanoderma lucidum (Mushroom) ExtractHydration for skin that feels tight1.25%
Chemical structure of Reishi
One quarter of the 5% mushroom complex, contributing beta-glucans: the polysaccharides that hold water at the surface of the skin.
The four mushrooms are dosed at 1.25% each, which is how the complex reaches 5% without any one of them being fairy-dusted. Reishi's beta-glucans anchor the complex's hydration; the other three are here for what they add around it.
In the formula
Beta-glucans are large, water-loving polysaccharides. They hold water at the skin's surface and form a light film that helps reduce moisture loss.
Why we chose it
Chosen for hydration. Its beta-glucans hold water at the surface, and that is the only job reishi does in this formula.
ChagaInonotus obliquus (Mushroom) ExtractDefends against how daily stress shows1.25%
Chemical structure of Chaga
The antioxidant density of the complex. Chaga concentrates polyphenols, melanin complexes and birch-derived triterpenes.
Chaga grows on birch and takes the tree's betulin with it. Its antioxidants sit in a different part of the formula than the vitamin C and E pair, which is the argument for having all three rather than doubling down on one.
In the formula
Polyphenols, melanin complexes and birch-derived triterpenes: antioxidants that help defend skin against the visible effects of everyday environmental stress.
Why we chose it
Chosen for antioxidant density, and dosed at 1.25% as one of four mushrooms rather than as a headline extract.
MaitakeGrifola frondosa (Mushroom) ExtractLeaves skin softer to the touch1.25%
Chemical structure of Maitake
The third quarter of the complex, contributing grifolan-type beta-glucans to the same surface hydration the others build.
Maitake is the quiet member of the complex, adding its beta-glucans to the moisture-holding film it builds with reishi and cordyceps. It earns its place as part of a dosed group rather than as a headline active.
In the formula
Grifolan beta-glucans: humectant and film-forming at the skin's surface, alongside the other three extracts.
Why we chose it
Chosen for the same surface hydration reishi brings, and dosed at 1.25% as one quarter of the complex.
CordycepsCordyceps Sinensis ExtractSeals that moisture in1.25%
Chemical structure of Cordyceps
The fourth quarter of the mushroom complex. Cordyceps adds its polysaccharides to the moisture-holding film that reishi and maitake build.
Species matters more here than anywhere else in the formula. Commercial "Cordyceps sinensis" is almost always cultivated Cordyceps militaris or the CS-4 mycelial strain; the wild fungus is among the most expensive biological materials on earth and is not in a skincare bottle. Ours is cultivated, and we confirm the species on paper rather than trusting the trade name.
In the formula
Polysaccharides that add to the complex's hydrating, skin-softening film.
Why we chose it
Like the complex's beta-glucans, its polysaccharides are humectants, holding water at the skin's surface. That is the only role we ask cordyceps to play here.
CoQ10UbiquinoneFor skin that looks less tired1.0%
Chemical structure of CoQ10
An antioxidant that occurs naturally in skin. We include it at 1.0%, disclosed on the carton.
Packaging matters as much as the formula here: ubiquinone is light- and oxygen-sensitive, which is why it sits in violet glass or an opaque stick. A clear bottle spends the dose before the customer does.
In the formula
An oil-soluble antioxidant, which is why it belongs in a waterless oil. It helps defend skin against the visible effects of everyday environmental stress.
Why we chose it
Chosen for the oil phase: ubiquinone is lipid-soluble, so a waterless formula is the right carrier for it. It is light- and oxygen-sensitive, which is why it ships in violet glass.
Vitamin ETocopherolMakes the vitamin C work harder1.0%
Chemical structure of Vitamin E
An oil-soluble antioxidant that occurs naturally in skin's own surface lipids. In the serum it is dosed as an active at 1.0%, not the trace amount used only to keep oils from turning.
Vitamin E and vitamin C are here as a pair rather than as two entries on a list: tocopherol is used up as it works, and vitamin C returns it to its active form. That partnership is the reason both are dosed. It also keeps the formula's own oils fresh, one ingredient doing two jobs.
In the formula
An oil-soluble antioxidant. It helps defend skin against the visible effects of everyday environmental stress, and keeps the formula's own oils fresh. Vitamin C returns it to its active form, which is why the two are paired.
Why we chose it
Chosen as a pair with vitamin C, because the two keep each other active. Dosing one without the other is the cheaper way to build a formula, and the weaker one.
BakuchiolPsoralea corylifoliaSoftens the look of lines, no retinol0.5%
Chemical structure of Bakuchiol
A plant-derived alternative to retinol, gentle enough for sensitive skin. It is photostable, so it can sit in a morning formula.
Bakuchiol is isolated from the seed of Psoralea corylifolia, the babchi plant. It is photostable, so unlike retinol it can sit in a morning formula. We dose it at 0.5% and print the number on the carton, rather than at a figure that reads better on a label than it behaves on a face.
In the formula
Not a retinoid, and structurally unrelated to one. In this formula it helps skin look smoother and more even, and it is gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Why we chose it
Chosen as a retinol alternative that holds up in daylight, which is what lets it sit in a morning formula. Dosed at 0.5%, the level printed on the carton.

Questions we welcome.

What is a serum stick and how is it different from a regular serum?

Our Resilience Balm is a solid, potent serum concentrate in a convenient stick format. Unlike traditional liquid serums, it offers targeted mess-free application, is travel-friendly, and allows you to easily apply hydration exactly where you need it throughout the day.

How do I incorporate the Resilience Balm Serum Stick into my skincare routine?

Glide the stick directly onto clean, dry skin after cleansing and toning, before or in place of your moisturizer. Press it onto dry patches and fine lines where skin needs more, or use it as a hydrating lip balm or under-eye primer, keeping it away from the eyes themselves.

What are the main benefits of the "Nourishing M-Veil" technology?

The "M-Veil" refers to the hydrating "veil" of moisture this balm creates. It is designed to provide deep nourishment while strengthening your skin's natural barrier, helping to retain moisture and improve overall resilience against environmental stressors.

Is this serum stick suitable for sensitive skin or all skin types?

Yes. The Resilience Balm is formulated to be nourishing and gentle, and it is fragrance-free, so it suits all skin types, especially skin that runs dry and needs its moisture barrier supported.

Can I apply this serum stick over makeup for touch-ups?

Yes. Lightly dab the stick over makeup during the day to refresh dry areas without disturbing your look.
